Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly

Exactly one year ago today I arrived in Florida, greeted by Bama the bulldog who jovially jumped onto my lap as soon as I opened the van door.

Bliss, our new puppy, wandered into our yard this past week. She is an Australian heeler. Part dalmation and part dingo. She is cutest while sleeping. When awake, she is a spaz that chews everything in sight.

Tentmaking

Since June 24th I have been working as a cashier at 231 Plaza in Youngstown, Florida. I equate and justify it to myself by saying that it is my own equivalent to Paul's tentmaking.

So what is my dream? It has been and always will be a children's choir. Someday.

He who has ears...

Brenna Anne drew me some pictures of viney plant men. I think they are a wonderfully odd combination of cute and creepy.

This guy is not doing too great because the bird snatched away his chance before he even got to grow. This guy grew a bit, but the rock prevented him from rooting well, so he is shriveling. This guy grew great, but the vines held him back. This guy found some good soil, rooted well, and produced all kinds of good fruit.

They make me smile. Brenna is a neat chick. She drew them all quite quickly.

I hung them up over top of Will's Iron man poster in my room. Brenna and I thought that was pretty funny.

One day in the furniture store, she was playing with her puddy eraser. I molded a rose for her, and gave it to her. She politely said "That's... nice," and immediately began molding it into a prettier rose. I squashed it and said "Hey now! You're gonna show me up and make a better one aren't you," and she just laughed, so I said "Ok, now you gotta teach me. Show off." So she showed me, but she was going faster than I was, so I squished her example. She started again and caught up to where I was at, so I squished her's again and took the clay to use for my own. We laughed a lot that day.
